I'm a 24 year-old guy who has been at SLR photography since June 2001, and I'm enjoying it very much.
I started off with a compact 35 mm camera when I was 10. When I finished upper secondary school I got myself an EOS 300 with a 28-90 mm and a 75-300 mm lens. I was hooked from the very beginning. I expanded my kit with a close-up lens, a tripod, an external flash and a shutter-release - which increased the possibilities by leaps and bounds.
I've kept an eye on Canon's digital SLR's for a while now. With the launch of the 30D I felt it was the right time to act. I got the 30D body and a Sigma 17-70mm 1:2.8-4.5 lens. Now I've switched my EF 75-300mm for the EF 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 IS USM, which is sharper and has image stabilizing. I've also bought the EF 50mm 1:1.4 USM, which is a great portrait lens on the 30D, and a Sigma 10-20mm 1:4-5.6 EX HSM.
